Miniaturists, Nail Artists and Crafters - Welcome to the site!

(IMAGE:
) Hi, you may have had a notice about our site certificate being expired at the weekend if you were ordering, the new one arrived this morning so all is fine again.

Site Redesign We have just finally added our Links section, if we missed you out feel free to get in touch via the contact form. We have tried to split up the many items we sell into easier pages. Hopefully this will not confuse too many people, and the layout is now a lot easier to use.

Frank and I have just moved house to Spain and there will be a few months transition to being a Spanish company. It will take some time to complete the paperwork. Meanwhile we'll be charging in pounds and functioning as an English company. The only change is that customers will receive a Worldpay invoice in place of their usual terminal receipt.

Postage charges There may be some changes to the postage prices especially on heavier items from now on, but you will not be charged more than it says on your current order confirmations. So those who ordered before price changes will still pay the price they expect to pay. Unfortunately postage charges mean we've had to discontinue sales of Minitmold for the time being. We're working on this, and hope to be able to bring it back soon. The EU competition commission really needs to step in and sort out the excessive postage prices charged by the state monopoly here in Spain!

Classes I am starting to teach again after a break to accustom myself to the new formulae of the major clay brands. I am planning classes in Madrid over the first weekend of March, and on the Friday before the Soest fair in Germany. Please send me your details via the contact form at the bottom of this page including telephone number if you are interested in hearing about classes in those venues or in your area. In the future I hope to be able to organise classes here in the beautiful Sierra de Aracena, so you can combine a relaxing holiday with some craft (and even language and IT) classes!

(IMAGE: flower-wheel (5202_6))
(IMAGE: fruit-wheel (5202_0))
(IMAGE: xmas-wheel (5202_1)) We are starting to reorganise the website into sections now that I'm diversifying into other craft areas. Or, rather, concentrating on polymer clay caning! There will now be sections for those interested in other scales such as Playscale ('Barbie scale'), nail art, scrapbooking and other crafts which use my canes and the new 'superfine' slices and 'art veneers'. Please keep looking in to see what's new. Remember many designs don't get repeated. So, if you see it ... and you want it ... Get it!

(IMAGE: r0012478 (4888_15)) You heard it first here! Last year we announced the introduction of a new range of Nailart Canes And Slices called "Superfine Slices", "Fine Slices" and "Art Veneers". Miniaturists please note that many of the smaller sizes of the new fine and superfine slices are approximately 12th scale and are therefore suitable for dolls house applications, for example the playing cards. At the moment only myself and my friend Nicola from nailartcanes.com are producing these incredibly fine "Superfine Slices" and the related "Art Veneers" which can be cut , punched or used whole in nail art and many other crafts. Wholesale enquiries are welcome.

Angie is now proud to bring these and her nail art canes (formerly only available wholesale), to the public. Click here to see them

Book 2 "Miniature Food Masterclass" is now available direct from us with an exclusive free Pies & Tarts DVD by clicking here.

Because of all this and incredibly high demand for our products last year, we have been extremely busy. The new website and it's management system is working magnificently well. Almost like having an extra unpaid admin assistant!. See Frank's site www.networkadvice.co.uk for details if you are interested in having a similar management system which can be particularly useful for the small but busy craft business. Frank also writes smaller, simple contact only pages for a very reasonable price, and all points in between!

You can now order using your credit or debit card online. This is a secure digital certificate site, and we do not take Paypal. No money is taken until your order is packed and ready to dispatch though we do ask for card details at the time of ordering.

At the left of the page are options for Create A New Account to let you register, and My Account to track orders. Once you are registered, you can go to any of the sections such as Miniatures Market Place, Craft Tools And Materials or Books and DVDs to submit an online order. Traders should register as such and use trade ordering (from My Account) for any wholesale purchases.

Miniatures Marketplace is now filling up again, please keep looking in for new items and changes. Craft items and DVDs will be available as normal.

Bananas Masterclass

It shows how simple it is to make the 'difficult' banana shape for single bananas and bunches. It also demystifies the seemingly complex pattern in the centre of a banana into one simple repeated cane, and has a little fun with banana skins. It finishes off with (unusually for Angie) a little use of paint and pens.

Fill Your Doll's House

Volume 1: Fruit And Vegetables

This is the original video re-filmed for DVD quality, and enhanced with new techniques to make your fruit and veg even more realistic. This new version includes the Skinner shade technique combined with Angie's own development of the offset stacking technique for leeks.

Make apples and oranges whole, cut and peeled, leeks, onions in strings and sprouting, curly cabbages and cauliflowers.

Diane Harfield - Miniature Flowers and Plants)

Diane Harfield - Miniature Flowers and Plants

In this DVD Diane, a highly respected miniaturist, covers plants and flowers for all seasons.

Starting in spring with primroses, violets and daffodils, covering poppies, wheat, tulips and roses for summer, oak and fern for autumn, and finishing winter on poinsettia, holly and wreaths.

Diane also gives valuable tips about tools, materials, cutters and glues.

Diane primarily uses cold porcelain, a medium that allows ultra-fine work for delicate petals and leaves.
